A $15 per pet, per night helps us cover the extra cleaning needed to keep the space fresh, cozy, and guest-ready for everyone. We just ask that pets are house-trained, kept off furniture (or covered), and not left unattended unless kenneled.

Max’s Story
Maximus, our beloved Cowboy Corgi, will always be the heart behind The Hive.
When Max began his fight with cancer, we started The Hive as a way to help cover the cost of his chemotherapy treatments. What began as a simple effort to care for a dog who meant the world to us quickly became something far greater than we ever expected.
The support from our community and guests was overwhelming in the best possible way. Because of Max, strangers became friends, kindness poured in from near and far, and The Hive was born.
Max’s strength, loyalty, and the love he gave so freely are woven into the story of this place. Every guest who stays here is part of that story — a reminder that something beautiful can grow from even the hardest seasons.
Max will always be the reason The Hive exists, and his pawprints will forever be part of its foundation. 🐾💛🐝

Hi! We’re Jason and Stacey — the team behind The Hive. We’re proud to call Waterville home and love the quiet charm, friendly waves, and strong sense of community this town offers. Creating The Hive has been such a meaningful journey for us, and hosting guests has quickly become one of our favorite parts of it. We’re also proud parents of two grown, married children and three grandchildren who we absolutely adore. Family means everything to us, and that heart for home and connection is part of what inspired The Hive.
Jason is the steady problem-solver — the behind-the-scenes fixer who makes sure everything works just the way it should. If something needs built, repaired, or improved, he’s already on it. Stacey is the detail-lover — focused on comfort, cozy touches, and making sure every guest feels genuinely welcomed.
Together, we’ve poured our hearts into creating a space that feels peaceful, private, and thoughtfully prepared. Whether you’re here visiting family, attending an event, hunting nearby, or simply passing through Waterville, we want your stay to feel easy and restful.
